DANA MAKES DISCOVERY AT NEFERTITI, GULF OF SUEZ, EGYPTDana Petroleum is pleased to announce a successful exploration well at the Nefertiti prospect in the South October production sharing contract area (Dana 65% and operator, Inpex 35%), Gulf of Suez, Egypt. The highly deviated well was drilled from an onshore location to an offshore target between 12th July and 14th November 2010.
VALUE BASED DEFENCE - DANA RESPONSE TO KNOC OFFERThe Board of Dana (the “Board”) is today posting a circular to Shareholders setting out the valuation of Dana based on an Independent Expert’s asset valuations. The Independent Expert’s Report supports the Board’s view that the offer made by Korea National Oil Corporation (“KNOC”) for all the issued and to be issued shares of Dana and its Convertible Bonds (the "Offer") is inadequate and fails to recognise Dana's existing value and strategic importance to KNOC.
DANA ACQUIRES UKCS INTERESTS FROM PETRO-CANADA UK LIMITEDDana is pleased to announce that the Company (through its subsidiary Dana Petroleum (E&P) Limited) has entered into an agreement with Petro-Canada UK Limited (“Petro-Canada UK”), a wholly owned subsidiary of Suncor Energy Inc. (“Suncor”), to acquire Petro-Canada UK's interests in certain UK assets (the “PCUK Assets”) for a cash consideration of £240 million (approximately $372 million) (the “Acquisition”). The cash consideration will be adjusted at completion for various working capital balances at 1 July 2010 and movements in the interim period which are expected to result in a net benefit to Dana. In addition, on completion Dana will also gain additional UK capital allowances of £60 million.

DANA RECEIVES SHAREHOLDER APPROVAL FOR THE ACQUISITION OF PETRO-CANADA NETHERLANDS B.V.Dana is pleased to confirm that the resolution to approve the Company's proposed acquisition of Petro-Canada Netherlands B.V. (“Petro-Canada Netherlands”) (the “Acquisition”) put to shareholders at the General Meeting held today was passed unanimously. Completion of the Acquisition, which provides a significant production and reserve growth step for the Group and adds considerable operating capabilities in the North Sea, is expected to take place later this week.
