Mr Chang Seok Jeong

Mr Chang Seok Jeong

Chairman

Mr. Jeong has been with KNOC since 1986.

Prior to being appointed as an Executive Vice President he held various leadership positions, such as an Managing Director in Vietnam and General Manager in Houston.

He has a PhD in petroleum engineering and a BSc in petroleum and mineral engineering from Seoul National University of Korea.

He received a Ministerial award for economic knowledge in 2006 and a Presidential citation in 2000.

Yongwoo Kang

Yongwoo Kang

Chief Strategy Officer

Qualifications: Mr Kang has degrees in Business Studies and English Literature from Hankuk University in Seoul.

Mr Kang has spent 22 years with KNOC, in various roles and locations including leading the subsidiaries business, finance management and business planning. Most recently he was KNOC's Senior Manager of Production Planning.

David Crawford

Mr David Crawford

Chief Financial Officer

David Crawford was chief financial officer and company secretary for Dolphin Drilling’s UK and international operations before joining Dana in 2011.

He has 25 years’ experience in the oil and gas industry including 17 years working for Total in Aberdeen.

Based in Aberdeen, David holds a BSc (Hons) in Economics and has been a qualified accountant for 20 years.

Yongsun Ahn

Mr Yongsun Ahn

Deputy Chief Financial Officer

Mr Ahn has worked for KNOC since 1993.

 

In KNOC and its subsidiaries, he has held key roles in the areas of E&P business fund operation and management and Energy & Resources business special accounting management. He also worked as finance director of ADA OIL LLP in Kazakhstan and was KNOC Senior Manager of Europe & Africa asset management. He has a Bachelor’s degree in Law and an Executive MBA.

Mr David Fitzsimmons

Mr David Fitzsimmons

Independent Non-Executive Director

Mr Fitzsimmons spent three decades with BP, holding a number of leadership roles.

David Fitzsimmons spent three decades with BP, holding a number of leadership roles including Head of Oil Trading, President of BP Asia (based in Hong Kong) and Group Vice-President and Commercial Director for BP’s Gas, Power and Renewables business.

Having left BP, David became Chief Executive of Novera Energy then one of the UK’s largest renewable energy companies until he left in 2009.

He is non-executive director of Integro, a US-based producer and supplier of terrified biomass fuel, is a member of the Advisory Board of Nur Energie, a UK developer of large-scale solar power projects in the Sahara and he serves on the Strategic Advisory Board of US venture capital business Braemar Energy.

A British National, David has studied at Cambridge University in the UK and Stanford in the USA.

Woo Seok Lee

Mr Woo Seok Lee

Non-executive Director

Mr. Lee is KNOC’s Vice President for Production Management Department (America, Europe, Africa).

After completing a law degree he joined KNOC in 1988, and has since performed various roles across planning, procurement and legal departments before being awarded the position of Vice President in January 2013.

Mr Sung Kook Lee

Mr Seung Kook Lee

Non-executive Director

Mr. Lee has been with KNOC for 16 years, joining in 1998.

 

He has held various positions during this period, including managing KNOC’s operations in Vietnam and Iraq, and Vice President of Production Operations.

Mr. Lee has a Masters in natural resource engineering and is an award winning engineer.

Dr Joon Beom Lee

Non-executive Director

Mr. Lee joined KNOC in 1994.

He spent time in various departments including three years in oil research before relocating to the USA In 2007, when he became General Manger of KNOC’s operations in Houston.

Mr Lee holds a Master’s degree in political science and international relations from Korea University, and was awarded a PhD from the Missouri State University in 2001.

He received a Ministerial award for economic knowledge in 2006 and a Presidential citation in 2000.
