Dr Seong-Hoon Kim

Chairman

Dr Kim is a geologist, Director and Senior Executive Vice President of the Korean National Oil Corporation (KNOC). He has worked with KNOC for 27 years and has held the position of Executive Vice President for New Ventures and Exploration as well as other senior management positions within the New Ventures and Exploration division of KNOC.

Kyungluck Sohn

Director

Mr Sohn joined the Dana Petroleum Board in January 2012 and is KNOC’s Vice President of Finance Management. During his 33 year career with KNOC, Mr Sohn has held senior financial management positions across the organisation. Most recently he was Chief Financial Officer of Harvest Energy, having previously been Managing Director of KNOC in Canada. Mr Sohn holds a degree in Business Management from the Busan National University in South Korea.

Sang Geun Han

Director

Mr Han joined the Dana Petroleum Board in January 2012 and is KNOC’s Vice President for Europe & Africa. During his 26 year career with KNOC he has held senior management roles spanning business development, information technology and exploration. Most recently he was Managing Director of KNOC in Nigeria, having previously been Vice President of Exploration. Mr Han holds a degree in Geology from Kyungpook National University in South Korea.

Marcus%20Richards

Dr Marcus Richards

Group Chief Executive Officer

Marcus joined Dana in 2011 having been a Senior Vice President of BP for the upstream E&P and downstream refining businesses. He was previously Director of BP’s North Sea businesses in the UK, The Netherlands and Norway. During his 27 year career with BP he undertook assignments in the United States, Australia, China and Indonesia. He holds a BSc (Hons) and PhD and is an alumni of Harvard University. Marcus is a visiting professor at Robert Gordon University in Aberdeen.

David Crawford

Group Chief Financial Officer

David joined Dana in 2011 from Dolphin Drilling where he was Chief Financial Officer and Company Secretary with responsibility for all financial matters in the UK and international operations. He has 25 years’ experience in the oil and gas industry including 17 years working for Total in Aberdeen. He holds a BSc (Hons) in Economics and has been a qualified accountant for 20 years.

Eugene%20Synn

Eugene Synn

Group Chief Strategy Officer

Mr Synn is KNOC’s Executive Vice President for Europe, the Middle East and Africa and has 27 years’ experience with the organisation. He led KNOC’s acquisition of Harvest Energy in 2009 and Dana in 2010. Eugene holds a degree in Geology from Pusan National University.

Reidar Hustoft

Managing Director, Netherlands

Reidar joined Dana in 2011 when the company acquired Petro Canada Netherlands. He has more than 30 years’ experience of North Sea operations with exploration and production companies and service companies including Procon Drilling Services, DNO Heather and Unocal International. Reidar holds an MSc in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Trondheim in Norway, a Diploma in Management Studies from Robert Gordon University, Aberdeen and an MBA from Aberdeen University.

 

Paul%20Griffin

Paul Griffin

Managing Director, UK

Paul joined Dana in 2005 in operations and development management. He has 27 years’ experience in the oil and gas industry in the UK, United States, South East Asia, the Middle East and Africa. He has broad management expertise in both onshore and offshore operations, and holds a BSc in Physics and Mathematics and an MSc in Engineering Project Management.

 

John%20Dahlen

John Dahlen

Managing Director, Norway

John is a highly experienced oil and gas professional with 35 years in the industry, 15 of these years have been spent in the capacity of CEO, President or Managing Director. He has headed Northern Oil, Naftex Energy Corporation, Petrolex Enegy Corporation, PGS Nopec and Det norske oljeselskap (DNO) prior to joining Dana in 2005. John has a broad multi-discipline and professional experience from general management, business development, project management, corporate and project financing as well as sales and marketing. After securing his undergraduate degree at Trondheim School of Economics and Business Administration, he went on to achieve his Master of Business Economics from the Norwegian School of Management.

Nick Dancer

Managing Director, Egypt

Nick joined Dana in 2008 as Exploration Manager in Egypt before becoming Country Manager in 2011. Nick is an explorationist with 24 years’ experience having previously worked with Conoco Ltd in the UK, Enterprise Oil in the UK and Ireland and Royal Dutch Shell in the Philippines and Malaysia. Nick holds a BSc in Geological Sciences and an MSc in Applied Geophysics.

 

John%20Downey

John Downey

Director of International Exploration and New Ventures

John joined Dana in 2003 having previously worked for Enterprise Oil and BP. His experience spans most aspects of the upstream oil and gas industry, including frontier exploration, mature area exploitation, appraisal and development, unitisation and mature field production. In addition, John has experience of asset management, project economics, portfolio management, commercial negotiations and M&A. He holds an MSc in Engineering Geology and a BSc in Geology and Geography.

John Baillie

Director of Reservoir Management and Technology

John joined Dana in 2006 to lead the company’s reservoir engineering activities and has also overseen asset management and M&A activity. He has 27 years’ experience with Marathon Oil, Total, Enterprise Oil, ENI and Kerr-McGee. His skills span analytical and numerical techniques particularly in reservoir modelling and well test interpretation. John has worked extensively in the North Sea, Atlantic Margins, from the UK to West Africa, and in North Africa. He holds degrees from the University of Aberdeen (BSc Hons) and Heriot-Watt (MEng).

 

Tim%20Ingram

Tim Ingram

Group HSSE Director

Tim joined Dana in 2011 from Wood Group, where he was the HSEQ Director for the North Sea Engineering Business. Prior to that, he was HSSEQ Director at Maersk Oil UK, having previously held similar roles with Ithaca Energy, Marathon Oil, Texaco and PSL Energy Services. Tim was the Health and Safety Executive’s Principal Inspector of offshore and onshore gas and pipeline facilities throughout Scotland. Tim holds BA (Hons), PgD and MSc qualifications and is a Chartered Member of IOSH, the chartered body for health and safety professionals. He chairs the IOSH Offshore Group and has been an active participant in various Oil and Gas UK and Step Change initiatives for several years.

Stuart Payne

Stuart Payne

Group HR Director

Stuart joined Dana in 2011 from Shell where he was Vice President, Human Resources for Shell’s exploration and commercial businesses based in Houston, Texas. Stuart has considerable experience in general HR and specialist talent management roles for Shell and for BT. Key roles with Shell included managing the UK & Ireland recruitment organisation, HR Manager for the global Communications & Government Relations team and Talent Manager for upstream businesses in Europe. Stuart holds a BSc in Experimental Psychology from the University of York and is a member of the British Psychological Society.

Jill Reid

Jill Reid

Group General Counsel

Jill joined Dana in 2011 from Shell UK where she was Senior Legal Counsel for deal delivery, strategy and portfolio management for eight years. She is a highly experienced legal professional with more than 21 years’ experience in the E&P industry. Previously she was Aberdeen Legal Manager with Shell and Legal Adviser with Chevron UK. Jill studied law at the University of Aberdeen and is a member of the Law Society.

Andrew McCallum

Andrew McCallum

Director of Group Communications and External Affairs

Andrew joined Dana in 2011 to lead the company’s communications and external affairs activities. Prior to this he was Executive Director of Communications and External Affairs at Gatwick Airport for three years during the sale of the airport and its successful development as an independent company. He was previously Group Head of Corporate Reputation at Centrica having joined the energy group as a graduate management trainee in 2000. Andrew holds a BA (Hons) in Business Management and a postgraduate diploma from the Chartered Institute of Marketing.
