How to become a supplier to Dana
A pre-requisite for supplying Dana in the UK and the Netherlands is that you are fully registered with First Point Assessment Limited (FPAL), and more importantly have an up to date capability profile and/or sufficient performance feedback statistics. This allows us to make robust supply decisions and ensures our commitment to the supply chain code of practice.
That said, we’re open to discussing supply possibilities with companies that are not registered with FPAL - predominantly new entrants, Small & Medium Enterprises (SMEs) or companies that are bringing new and innovative services or technologies to market. However, should that result in the award of any work we’d expect that company to register with FPAL.
Our commitment to the supply chain and the industry in the UK
As a major purchaser in the United Kingdom Continental Shelf (UKCS), we’re long term supporters of and are fully committed to FPAL and more recently Verify and the Supply Chain Code of Practice. By embracing these initiatives we’re ensuring the long term prosperity of the UKCS. Some specific examples of how we engage with suppliers and prospective suppliers includes publishing our forward plans, meeting our targets on performance feedback, using standard Invitations to Tender (ITTs) and forms of contract (Logic), debriefing unsuccessful tenderers and paying in 30 days.
What we expect in return
We expect all our suppliers to be trustworthy, honest and open in communication, ensure top quality in the goods or services they provide, carry out their business safely with minimum harm to the environment and that they work with us to provide the best performing most cost effective service.
