Job summary

The HR Business Partner will be involved in all people related matters relating to our Operations teams both on and offshore. They will be expected to give HR support and advice to staff and Managers and will assist in the development of fit for purpose HR processes to ensure compliance with current legislation, best practice and company guidelines.

Roles and responsibilities

This role has the following responsibilities and outputs:

  • Advising and guiding the business on human resources issues relating to recruitment, development, performance, reward management and operational issues.
  • Responsible for the recruitment process for assigned Departments, ensuring compliance and a professional standard is maintained.
  • Responsible for the reporting of headcount within designated departments.
  • Be involved in all people related matters, giving counsel and advice to staff and Managers and will assist in the development of fit for purpose HR processes to ensure compliance with current legislation, best practice and company guidelines. This includes but is not limited to, disciplinaries, grievances, absence management, performance improvement processes and recruitment.
  • Contribute to operational discussions, by providing professional HR advice and client feedback
  • Lead and coordinate key HR programs and policies for the client group, ensuring alignment to Dana’s values
  • Consult and coach line managers on people issues and solutions supporting the business requirements
  • Support line managers by helping them to pro-actively address complex employee/labour relations issues
  • Collaborate with UK HR Manager and client group in the provision of a systematic, continuous process of identifying, assessing and developing leadership talent for future strategic roles in the organisation. 
  • Handling of day to day HR administrative processes including but not limited to recruitment, payroll, employment benefits, absence management, expats and contractor management.

 

Competence requirements

Job specific skills and knowledge

  • A fundamental knowledge and understanding of generalist HR practices, systems and procedures and how these can be implemented in an offshore operations environment.
  • Maintain a sound knowledge and understanding of Human Resources, a solid technical skill set, and most importantly, the motivation and will to get the job done.
  • Significant HR Advisor experience, ideally gained within the Oil and Gas industry. 
  • Experience working with operations and a strong understanding of offshore patterns and workforce is essential.

 

General capabilities

Production Engineer

Job summary

To ensure optimisation of production from Dana’s operated producing fields.  To build and maintain appropriate well and network models. To ensure effective communication and collaboration with Operations, Subsurface and Well Engineering functions.  Compliance and liaison with OGA on production and flaring consents, plus stewardship returns via the Portal.

Roles and responsibilities

This role has the following responsibilities and outputs

  • Maintain WIP, Well Information Pack
  • Optimise oil production rates within operational constraints, including gas lift  in conjunction with OTL
  • Identify daily constraints and production losses; using appropriate tools; Process Book & GAP - develop and implement plans to eliminate
  • Assist in compiling annual stewardship returns for the OGA
  • Track and encourage best practice on flare management
  • Setting daily production target and input to short term production forecasting
  • Report and investigate any loss reporting
  • Lead the execution of Dana day to day modelling tasks (e.g. well simulations for allocation purposes)
  • Effective communication with onshore/offshore operations
  • Ensure accuracy of secondary allocation data with Hydrocarbon Accountant
  • Approve well tests
  • Support interventions from DSV or LWIV

‘Own’ Dana IPM models for all assets (particular focus is on Prosper and GAP models):

  • Build and maintain appropriate models
  • Review / authorise all model updates
  • Ensure models remain accurate and fit for purpose

 

Liaise with the Subsurface and Operations team to plan and implement reservoir surveillance activities

  • Provide input to the reservoir management plan
  • Plan and implement well testing programmes
  • Well intervention planning and operations
  • Assist in well reviews

 

Mentor Dana staff in the use of the IPM product suite & Losses

  • Review and advise on appropriate modelling strategies were required
  • Technical assurance
  • Provide Prosper and GAP related internal training and Best Practice workshops
  • Maintain & own the Dana Loss accounting system and provide training to staff.

 

OGA/BEIS Compliance & Liaison

  • Maintain working relationship with OGA/BEIS
  • Application and tracking for Production & flare consents
  • Annual stewardship return in conjunction with Reservoir Engineering

 

HSEQ responsibilities

Everyone working for or on behalf of Dana Petroleum has the following responsibilities with regard to his or her work to:

  • Familiarise with the Dana Policies, including the policies on HSE, Risk Management and Major Hazards;
  • Familiarise with the One Dana Management System and its meaning for day-to-day work;
  • Familiarise with the work and be aware of all associated risks for People, the Environment, Assets and Reputation (PEAR);
  • Report any incident, near miss, hazards (unsafe acts/situations) and improvement suggestions;
  • Know their roles and responsibilities;
  • Actively participate in any job or HSEQ training or instruction by or on behalf of Dana Petroleum;
  • Use all provided means as intended and according to their purpose.

 

Competence requirements

Job specific skills and knowledge

  • Qualified with a BSc degree in Engineering or equivalent and ideally a Masters in Petroleum Engineering (or equivalent experience)
  • Demonstrative experience in petroleum engineering with a focus on the practical application of nodal analysis to engineering problems and the optimisation of well and network performance.
  • Familiarity with production data management systems; losses, production allocation & surveillance
  • Valid offshore certification (i.e. survival, medical, MIST)
