Job summary

An opportunity has arisen to work within the small in house tax team of Dana. Reporting to the Head of Tax & Treasury, the Tax Advisor will have joint accountability for the taxation affairs of the UK.

Roles and responsibilities

Strategic

  • implement the Groups taxation strategy as relevant to the UK;
  • help establish and formalise taxation processes and controls as relevant to the UK;
  • monitor and manage the UK’s effective tax rate; and
  • monitor UK tax affairs.

 

Relationships

  • help maintain relationships with auditors and professional advisors;
  • provide support to Finance, Legal, Commercial and Business in relation to material tax matters.
  • keep pace with legislative developments and assist to represent Dana’s views to Government bodies as appropriate;
  • help maintain relationships with UK tax authorities as appropriate;

 

Tax Provisioning

  • preparation of UK monthly CT Effective Tax Rate calculation;
  • preparation of UK tax monthly reforecasting;
  • preparation of the UK PRT and CT quarterly true up provisions;
  • preparation of statutory accounts tax provisions;
  • preparation of UK tax forecasting calculations for the Planning process;
  • establishing an documenting processes for completion of tax compliance; and
  • liaising with the Group’s auditors on taxation matters;

 

Tax Compliance

  • completion of UK corporate and PRT tax returns;
  • calculation of UK tax payments;
  • completion of monthly UK VAT return and management of payments/repayments
  • support in relation to the management of relevant tax authority enquires and resolution of “issues” arising

 

Tax Advisory

  • Provision of advice in respect of commercial documents;
  • Identification and implementation of UK tax planning strategies;
  • Review and monitor underlying financial systems, identify improvements required to ensure integrity of UK tax returns;
  • Identification or and liaison with appropriate external advisors and agreement of appropriate fee arrangements;
  • Provision of support to business in relation to strategic projects (e.g. acquisitions and divestments, commercial structuring of transactions, etc)
  • Support economics, business and planning teams in relation to modelling of UK taxes

Competence requirements

Job specific skills and knowledge

  • good working knowledge of the UK oil and gas tax regime in particular ring fence CT, SCT and petroleum revenue tax is essential;
  • knowledge of indirect tax (customs and VAT) is preferable but not essential as work with advisors in this area;
  • a professional qualification;
  • a strong corporate tax background;

 

General capabilities

  • strong verbal and written communication skills

Dana Petroleum has an exciting opportunity for a Senior G&G professional to join their Portfolio Optimisation team.  The successful candidate will be key in developing Dana’s Group Strategy for growth, with a focus on Exploration opportunities.

Working alongside our Portfolio Manager, the successful candidate will provide key input to our Shareholder to best position Dana for continued success.

The successful candidate will lead a small technical team who can drive the required subsurface analytics whilst also providing key technical advice on our portfolio strategy.

Candidates must possess solid G&G experience gained in the UK sector and have worked at a strategic level, with a track record in the business development arena being a distinct advantage. A&D Analyst

Dana Petroleum has an exciting opportunity for an A&D analyst to join their Portfolio Optimisation team.  The successful candidate will be key in supporting A&D activities as part of Dana Group Strategy.

Reporting to the Portfolio Manager, the successful candidate will undertake a range of activities including both screening/analysis of acquisition opportunities, and supporting divestment processes as and when required.  Interaction across a range of technical and non-technical disciplines will require commensurate communication skills.

Candidates will have a broad commercially focused background, with economic evaluation and/or F&A experience a distinct advantage. The role requires a capable individual who is comfortable with challenge.

Integrity Engineer

Job summary

The Integrity Engineer is responsible for managing the integrity of UK Operated Assets equipment in accordance with Dana’s management systems.

They are a focal point for integrity issues liaising directly with relevant functions including Operations, Technical Authorities, offshore personnel and discipline engineers. The position will work closely with the Delivery and Subsea teams for execution of inspection and other integrity management activities.

The role is the responsible engineer for approval of WSE, RBI and inspection reports as well as managing any identified anomalies in accordance with Dana UK management systems.

The Integrity Engineer will ensure that integrity risks are identified, appropriate mitigation is in place, and that systems and equipment are compliant with relevant legislation and Dana processes.

Roles and responsibilities

This role has the following responsibilities and outputs

Deliver the Integrity Management Systems, ensuring that relevant equipment has up-to-date Corrosion Assessments, Risk Assessments, Inspection Plans and Integrity Reviews.

Manage Integrity Management Contractors.

Manage integrity management expenditure and commitments within Dana, including:

Develop cost estimates for work packages for approval, obtaining third party input where necessary.

Provide cost tracking and schedule visibility through the lifecycle of all integrity scopes the role is responsible for and for financial processes including budget planning, value of work done and forecasting.

Ensure that corrosion management and monitoring plans are in place and followed.

Ensure equipment within the WMS have appropriate integrity PMs and frequency for their service.

Assist the Integrity Lead in the development, implementation and maintenance of effective Integrity Management systems.

Manage anomalies, reviewing risk, recommending mitigation and remedial work.

Manage and maintain the Integrity Data Management System (IDMS).

Assist with development and compliance with pertinent Performance Standards.

Assist with development of Integrity Management System documentation for any new assets.

Review upcoming integrity work and aligns resources to meet business needs.

Provide integrity support to engineering work.

Provide input into the Integrity Management Team (IMT) meetings.

Support the interface with HSE with regards to integrity issues.

Support the Integrity Lead with topsides integrity verification activity.

Manage the temporary repair register.

Ensure that Management of Change is appropriately applied

Job specific skills and knowledge

Relevant engineering degree or equivalent.

Proven track record in integrity management

Thorough knowledge of UK offshore regulation relating to integrity management.

Familiar with codes and standards applicable to integrity management.

Familiar with inspection and Non Destructive Testing methods.

Familiar with corrosion engineering methods and management.

Experience of leading and participating in Risk Based Inspection Assessments.

 

General capabilities
