Roles and responsibilities

This role has the following responsibilities and outputs

  • Responsible for assurance that all offshore operations comply with Dana’s internal policies and procedures, safety case requirements and external legislation.
  • Promote performance mindset within offshore teams to focus behaviours on safe working and optimising production levels against key targets under the direction of the Dana Leadership Team.
  • Accountable for effective management of emergency response on board the asset
  • Supports emergency response for any related contractors near to the asset, such as divers
  • Accountable for protecting the asset and all Dana infrastructure within the designated 500m safety zone
  • Accountable for system acceptance on all projects and modifications delivered to offshore operations
  • Responsible for meeting Dana’s contractual and regulatory compliance obligations as offshore operator and Duty Holder
  • Specifically, responsible for taking all reasonable steps to ensure asset compliance with the Diving at Work Regulations 1997 during any diving operations.
  • Executes and maintains the offshore asset integrity, inspection and fabric maintenance plan
  • Maintains offshore operating budgets and control of associated asset costs
  • Manage and coach the offshore operations team and key contractor personnel
  • Implements and maintains training and competency plans for offshore personnel
  • Offshore focal point for all third party and regulatory inspections and audits
  • Consults in the review of key asset projects and modifications to ensure asset will meet operational requirements
  • Consults on the contracting strategy and service requirement to support asset operations
  • Participate in onshore led activities e.g. HAZOPs / HAZIDs, project reviews as required
  • Develop and implement offshore manning strategies, participate in recruitment, succession planning and personnel development
  • Development of future work plans and long-term asset strategy.
  • Establish a collaborative, resilient work environment that equips all levels of the organization to take accountability for achieving stretch goals and shared outcomes.

Management Responsibilities

  • Performance objectives (SMART goals) for direct reports to be in place and agreed by the end of January.
  • Performance appraisal for previous year's performance to be held by end of March.
  • Mid-year review conversations to be held with direct reports by end August to ensure that goals are on track and still fit for purpose.
  • Conduct an annual review of the job description for all direct reports. Version to be signed off as part of the performance review on an annual basis.

Your Experience

  • Proven experience in offshore installation management.
  • Strong leadership and safety management skills.
  • Knowledge of UKCS regulations and industry standards.
