Position Overview

Reporting to the Campaign Manager, the Shutdown Team Lead is responsible for oversight of the entire process to define, prepare and efficiently execute the annual shutdown. The role leads the asset shutdown teams to ensure compliance with the ODMS Major Shutdown procedure (including adherence to a stage gate process) and to ensure shutdown plan delivery and execution within allocated budgets. The Shutdown Team Lead leads the offshore and onshore teams and essential contracting partners to deliver a safe, compliant and efficient shutdown, ensuring the development and implementation of shutdown strategies that align with the Triton Asset Plan and priorities and reflect the requirements of the Triton Asset Manager.

This role has the following responsibilities and outputs:

  • Establish and manage the asset shutdown and support shutdown-related tasks, including supporting the assurance and verification schemes.
  • Manage shutdown readiness reviews as per the stage gate process, including a final "Go/No go" assessment.
  • Lead initiatives to establish and implement best in class shutdown plan attainment, execution and optimisation strategies.
  • Manage effective communications and interfaces with internal and external stakeholders to ensure common objectives are met within the broader strategic aims of the asset.
  • Maximise the value opportunity of the planned shutdown, including critical maintenance backlog, ORA and safety critical work.
  • Carry out lessons learned sessions (post event) and publish to key stakeholders.
  • Ensure effective budget adherence and long and short term planning, including the necessary resources to deliver against plans and expectations.
  • Lead effective shutdown methodologies and strive for consistent, high levels of performance and delivery to operations.

HSEQ Responsibilities

Everyone working for or on behalf of Dana Petroleum has the following responsibilities with regard to his or her work to:

  • Familiarise with the Dana Policies, including the policies on HSE, Risk Management and Major Hazards, ensuring they are fully conversant with the One Dana Management System.
  • Familiarise with the work and be aware of all associated risks for People, the Environment, Assets and Reputation (PEAR).
  • Understand and comply with their roles and responsibilities.
  • Fully participate in the Dana Serious About Safety Program and additional HSEQ training or instruction by or on behalf of Dana Petroleum.
  • Safety Oversight: Ensure all safety standards and procedures are strictly followed. Report any incident, near miss, hazards (unsafe acts/situations) and improvement suggestions.
  • Risk Management: Conduct regular risk assessments and implement measures to mitigate identified risks. Ensure all risk assessments are correctly documented.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all operations comply with relevant regulations and standards, ensuring all correspondence is correctly recorded and cascaded.

Management Responsibilities

Everyone working for or on behalf of Dana Petroleum who has Dana staff roles reporting to them has the following responsibilities regarding his or her role as a manager:

  • Performance objectives (SMART goals) for direct reports to be in place and agreed by the end of January.
  • Performance appraisal for previous year's performance to be held by end of March.
  • Mid year review conversations to be held with direct reports by end August to ensure that goals are on track and still fit for purpose.
  • Conduct an annual review of the job description for all direct reports. Version to be signed off as part of the performance review on an annual basis.

Competence Requirements

  • Proven people leader with a track record of delivery.
  • Demonstrable experience in a similar Operational Support or Maintenance Team Leader role.
  • Solid working knowledge and proven application of relevant UK industry regulations relating to the oil and gas industry.
  • Sound working knowledge and demonstration of safe working practices.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills.
  • Proven ability to interact effectively at all organisation levels and encourage a team ethos across both core team and subcontractors.
  • High degree of adaptability in an ever-changing world of priorities.
